Miguel Ferreira is a filmmaker from Porto, Portugal with a bachelor degree in Cinema and a post-graduation degree in Screenwriting and Playwright, both in the city of Porto at ESAP and ESMAE, respectively.
Miguel always loved the power of his imagination, and trough movies he found out a way to express himself and this love. Miguel wrote & directed seven different projects. The student documentary "Soul's Origin: The Life of Gabino Ribeiro" & the short-film "Point of Life", both produced in 2019 and also the two short-films "Life's hard to who's soft" & "PRUFLAS", produced in 2020.
After graduating, Miguel has independently written & directed another three short-films, a non-fiction short-film named "You're not fuc*ing alone" in the year of 2020, and the short-films "When Time Stood Still" & "The Blinking House" in the year of 2021.
Miguel has also directed diverse music videos & written three books. The historical fiction novels named "Conduct Code: Valdemar" and "Conduct Code: Dolores" that have been edited & published by 5Livros in 2019 and 2021, respectively, and also the both non-fiction and poetry "Verses, Memories and Thoughts of a Young Daltonic" in 2022, which was edited and published by Primeiro Capítulo and Grupo Editorial Atlântico.
Besides his work in the novel world, Miguel also wrote an original play named "Then, Now and after Christmas", which has been produced by ESMAE & TNSJ.
Miguel has been hooked to writing since he can remember. His goal is to successfully become a professional screenwriter and is currently building his body of work as both a director and a writer.
