Joshua Schwartz is a writer, director, cinematographer, and editor originally from Florida, U.S. He is currently in film school in Tampa and has created numerous short films including Who Killed Mrs. Evans, The Perfect Birthday Gift, and Death on a Wall. His latest project is Microcosmia.
The film Microcosmia came to me as part of a haunting realization of my own insignificance and my feelings toward my relationship between myself and the world. I keep having these conflicting thoughts of the beauty of the world in small and the worthlessness of it. These contradictions coexist and are thrown into view in Microcosmia.
