Michelangelo a genius in the Apuan land

The film is set at the beginning of the sixteenth century in the marquisate of Massa and Carrara, during the long stay of Michelangelo Buonarroti.
Michelangelo was pressed by requests from Pope Julius II Della Rovere to complete his mausoleum in Rome, but did not intend to give him further credit to pay the workers involved in the extraction of the marble.
It will then be the Spanish sculptor Bartolomé Ordóñez who will suggest the solution to his economic problems, inviting him to submit to the benevolence of the Marquis Alberico II, who, fascinated by the extraordinary artist, will immediately pay him the sum he needs.
All this happens in the "harsh" and unique in beauty, the Apuan Alps.
