Jerzy P. Suchocki is an award-winner screenwriter and director working on his first feature, a horror comedy called How to Expose Possible Vampires (And Not Get Killed in the Process).
A self-taught person, he has always been in love with films and is convinced that they are the best way to create communication and empathy among people.
Besides writing screenplays (often about delusional dreamers trying to find their place in the world), Jerzy is also a novelist and script consultant for different companies and contests.
This is a piece inspired by the works of Junji Ito, a twisted piece of dark fantasy.
A FEW REVIEWS...
"Another screenplay written by Jerzy unfolds this time in modern Tokyo, delving into the enigmatic and supernatural underbelly of the city's crime world. The protagonist, Mianmoto, is introduced in a vibrant Tokyo nightclub where she maintains a stoic and mysterious presence amidst the lively chaos. She is portrayed as a lone, melancholic figure in her late twenties, dressed in dark clothes and sipping a blue drink at the bar. Her nights at various clubs involve strategically attracting the attention of powerful Yakuza bosses, only to lead them away into private, where she reveals her true, terrifying nature by literally absorbing their souls.
The main narrative revolves around a string of unexplained deaths of Yakuza leaders, all deemed heart attacks but suspected to be foul play due to the coincidental timing. Detective Mifune, a dedicated and observant officer, is tasked with unraveling these mysteries. As the police begin to close in, Mianmoto's path crosses directly with the investigative team, leading to tense and dramatic confrontations.
The screenplay reaches its climax in a climactic sequence where Mianmoto is almost captured and killed by a group of Yakuza men led by Yamamoto. In a twist of fate, she overcomes her captors in a spectacular display of supernatural power and brutality, asserting her dominance in a world ridden with corruption and violence.
Ultimately, "Mianmoto" combines elements of crime drama, supernatural thriller, and dark fantasy to explore themes of fate, love, and death. The narrative is punctuated with intense visual scenes, dynamic character interactions, and a pervasive sense of the otherworldly lurking beneath the surface of everyday life. The screenplay concludes on a philosophical note, with Detective Mifune reflecting on the inexplicable nature of Mianmoto's existence and actions, leaving the audience to ponder the interconnectedness of life's great mysteries.
Once again, Jerzy shows us his versatility, having the ability to shift between different genres while staying authentic!" - Wallachia International Film Festival
