Director Statement

"MiKaali" is a story born out of the tension between past sins and present consequences, set against the backdrop of a seemingly quiet town caught in the grip of a violent storm. The film explores the fragility of human nature and the emotional weight of guilt, revenge, and survival. It’s a suspenseful narrative about four fugitives seeking refuge in a small-town mess, only to find themselves trapped in a night of escalating fear and mistrust. Through their intense interactions and growing paranoia, the film examines how hidden truths can shape our actions, and how every dark secret eventually finds its way to the surface.
MiKaali is not just a thriller, but a meditation on how our actions have a lasting impact, and how sometimes, the most terrifying thing isn’t the storm outside, but the one that rages within.
