Max August is a writer, director, and actor from Calgary, AB, Canada.
Mega Ball is by far my most high energy, hilarious, and important film so far. While it is a comedy first and foremost, with slapstick action, awkward dialogue, and a heavy metal soundtrack, it is the messages in the film that I think the audience will resonate most with. It's about being down on your luck, depressed, out of work, grieving, anger, and losing, but it's also about camaraderie, expression, connection, friendship, and believing in yourself. It explores the hardships of losing in life through each character, and how they all support each other through playing Mega Ball, the ultimate outlet for release.
