Matthias Bollwerk grew up in Germany and started acting during childhood. After graduating from High School he spent a year, working at a radio station, hosting shows, until he started studying music in 2007. Shortly after he got his first big role in the german production of the US musical "Spring Awakening", working together with director Michael Mayer.
After spending a few years working as an actor, mostly in musical theatre, directing shorts and music videos in his free time, he decided to move away from theatre, now acting for german TV and Cinema while working as an author and director.
