Director Statement

The dream of a housewife often begins to shrink due to marriage, constantly sacrificing, constantly compromising, and constantly convincing oneself, until the dream is destined to become a matter of the next life. Only then will they start to comfort themselves with "my children are so cute" and "the male leads in Korean dramas are still handsome."
"Mary's Merry Marriage" is talking about this sense of powerlessness, that when a housewife makes different choices, she is often facing many blades, either hurting her family or leaving herself wounded.
The reality of marriage is like walking on a tightrope, or a mouse running on a wheel, you have to keep running to avoid falling down.
