While studying electrical engineering at the University of Minnesota, I developed an interest in theater and took several theater classes at the University. I also performed at various local theaters. From there, my interest turned to improv and performing at the Dudley Riggs Theater in Minneapolis. I also developed an interest in writing short plays, of which many were performed on stage. There's no better way to improve your writing than to have it performed before a live audience. I moved to California to work as an engineer in 2000 and started attending screenwriting meetups. Since then, I've written several scripts and entered them into screenplay contests.
