On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of the famous writer and Oscar winner Mario Puzo, this short documentary presents the story of his love and collaboration with the famous author Carol Gino. Together we will learn the details of their lives, placing particular emphasis on the love and respect they shared. Carol Gino reveals what daily life was like with the creator of The Godfather. Mario and Me is a journey into life, love and writing with Mario Puzo.

Director Biography - Dusan Leon-Citic

Dusan was born 1985 in Uzice, Serbia. He holds Master's Degree in Quality Management and Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He is a published author, editor and YouTuber specialized in movie reviews. He has worked on several short movies filmed in Serbia. He loves comedy and usually writes short satires, funny stories and jokes. Dusan doesn't take life seriously and it goes both ways. He is also a certified fitness instructor and an avid movie collector.

Director Statement

This short documentary is dedicated to the legendary writer and Oscar winner Mario Puzo. On the 25th anniversary of his death comes the touching story of his great love with the famous author Carol Gino. Two talented writers and their long-term collaboration, where they learned about love, life and writing together. It is a great honor to be the director of this project and I am very grateful to the amazing Carol Gino for sharing this amazing story with me. In memory of Mario Puzo (1920-1999).
