HHYBRYDD is the digital persona of Marcello Scuderi, who starts his artistic career in Italy as an actor having attended the drama conservatory of the Teatro Stabile of Catania. From 1982 to 1995 he tours Italy playing in different theater companies: under the direction of great directors such as Gabriele Lavia, Luca Ronconi, Adriana Asti, Giuseppe Di Martino, Giorgio Ferrara. He has also some appearances in cinema and TV (Volevo i pantaloni, Antelope Kobbler, The piovra, I ragazzi del muretto). In 1995, he moves to France and begins his career in directing, first as an assistant to great European personality such as Lluis Pasqual, Alfredo Arias, Maurizio Scaparro, Françoise Petit, Marco Mattolini, then on his own. With his company Noved Land, he has been directing and acting great Italian classics adapted in contemporary version or authors of the new Italian dramaturgy since 2003: Ferdinando de A. Ruccello at the Théâtre du Rond Point as part of Festival Les Italiens, Duetto (author / director, actor) at the Champs Elysée Theater in Paris as part of the Italian Festivals, La Calandria de Bibbiena at the Auditorium du Louvre, the video-installation Dreams in the street at the Nuit Blanche of Paris, Duetto (author / director, actor) at the Venice Biennale theater section, 2037 Goldoni Workshop (author / director, actor) at the Venice Biennale theater section, The circle of storytellers of the Mediterranean at the Week Italian from Paris and touring Algeria. Parallel to his work on staging, in 2013 he starts working on projects where the visual arts meet performance. In 2016 he begins to explore video-media. It is then that he creates its digital identity HHYBRYDD. He has been going on with creations between Video Art and Video Poetry ever since. His artistic approach to photo and video is that of a video-poet who explores the unconscious, the collective imagination and Nature, all alone. To such end, he shots his own pictures and videos -- often of himself -- by himself. Like a craftsman of image and sound, he modifies through editing the raw material collected in the process. He completes his dreamlike creations by illustrating them with sounds and sound effects, which again he creates by himself.
