Marbles is a very personal story for many reasons. I lost my mother suddenly when I was nineteen and recently lost my father in-law to cancer. So I wanted to focus on what it's like to lose someone close to you, set in a world where you would know when your last day is. Marbles focuses on cherishing the time you have left with your loved ones before they are gone. It's my take on dealing with the terminal illness of a family member.
