Make a wish

A Rolex watch, a tree house, promotion of women in the tech industry: ‘Artist giving away 25000 Swiss Francs’ by Florian Graf invites the people of Berne to present their wishes – translated into a sum of money. ‘Make a wish’ doesn't look away when things get tricky: selecting the wishes, the artist is confronted with valuing them. What should he prefer: originality, sympathy, social benefit? The participants draw an intimate portrait of their city but the art event points far beyond the horizon of Berne. Between personal and collective satisfaction, it reveals the challenges of an individualized society.
