Yaw Ampomah Oppong is Ghanaian living in Germany since 2015. He is writer mostly for mind bending stories which makes people always thinking. Magnifying rings is his first directorial debut film which he also wrote and produced.

Director Statement

A Ghanaian true story with european cinematography. This Film is a dark and intense exploration of the theme of love and its consequences. It is also important to recognize that these themes can be triggering for some individuals and should be handled with sensitivity and care. It delves into the psyche of a man who, driven by his own desires and insecurities, manipulates and hurts the women in his life. The Film also explores the idea that love can drive people to do terrible things and that the concept of true love is a complex and ever-changing one. It is violent and disturbing, featuring themes of infidelity, murder, suicide, and domestic violence.
