Made for Marriage
Made for Marriage is a heartfelt romantic comedy-drama about second chances, blended families, and learning to love again when life doesn’t go as planned.
After a painful divorce, Annika Taylor, a perfectionist real estate agent and mother of two, enters a reality dating show in a desperate attempt to win prize money and save her family’s struggling bakery. She’s paired with Liam Carter, a carefree single father whose easygoing lifestyle clashes with Annika’s need for structure and control. Their differences spark tension, humor, and unexpected connection—both on and off camera.
As filming continues, real emotions begin to surface, forcing Annika to confront her fear of vulnerability and the challenges of blending families. Just as trust begins to grow, a hidden connection between Liam and her family’s bakery threatens to unravel everything she’s worked to rebuild.
Balancing humor with emotional depth, Made for Marriage explores modern love, forgiveness, and the courage it takes to start over. With a strong female lead, relatable family dynamics, and an uplifting message, the film delivers warmth, authenticity, and broad appeal for streaming audiences seeking meaningful romance.

Erica T. Sherrill is an independent filmmaker, writer, and producer based in Dallas, Texas. She has worked across short films and feature projects and is currently developing and producing a television pilot. Through her production company, Gemlight Films, she is committed to telling authentic, purpose-driven stories that center emotional truth, resilience, and transformation.
I am drawn to stories that sit in the quiet tension between survival and purpose. My work centers on real people navigating unseen battles—grief, faith, identity, and resilience—often in spaces where strength is expected but rarely acknowledged.
As a director, I approach storytelling with emotional honesty and restraint. I believe the most powerful moments are not always loud; they live in the pauses, the glances, and the choices characters make when no one is watching. I aim to create work that feels grounded, human, and reflective—stories that invite the audience to recognize themselves.
Through my films, I seek to explore redemption, transformation, and the idea that even in brokenness, there is meaning. Each project is an opportunity to tell stories that resonate beyond the screen and leave room for conversation, healing, and hope.
