Director Biography - Alex Xavier

Journalist from São Paulo, Brazil, for almost 30 years. He also studied film at the New York Film Academy (USA) and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (Cuba). He wrote and directed the short film "Casulo" (2001), co-directed, with Juan Carlos Guerra, the documentary "Mistura" (2018) and produced the traditional animated short "Antes de Nós" (2024) and "Machine Learning". As a fiction writer, he published the books "O Teatro da Rotina" (2018) and "Não Vai Dar Tempo" (2022). A member of the Discordia collective, he also creates independent publications and writes alternative comic books.
