Beecher Reuning is a non-binary filmmaker based in Lexington, Kentucky. They have written and directed six award-winning short films and have four feature screenplays that have placed in competitions. Their work often takes a high-concept approach to gender deconstruction and transgender themes.

Mace is a deeply personal short film inspired by several anxiety-inducing experiences I have had while using public restrooms as a trans non-binary person. This issue has become central to the national conversation on trans rights, and through this narrative, I hope to offer an intimate, humanized perspective on this highly politicized topic.
