spent most of my life indoors longing to escape into other realities, film was a great conduit for that. when i wasn't frying my eyeballs to a screen, i was creating my own stories. as a kid i would draw comics for my friends and create mini movies in microsoft powerpoint and pivot animator. i eventually moved onto flash animation, drawing original characters, scenes and dabbling into world building which slowly progressed in studying and earning a diploma in film and visual effects.
upon moving in melbourne, i met producer john hipwell who took me under his wing and helped craft a script i had been writing- "MUSHI 虫". i put every cent i wasn't using for food into this project and after many months of hard work, it finally came to life. my work is inspired by the things i obsessed with growing up; the grotesque, horrific, surreal yet meaningful; with a fascination for strong aesthetics.
