MS, Mexico & Me: Aileen's Story
“MS, Mexico & Me: Aileen’s Story” is a health-issue documentary showing one woman’s journey from her home in the Isle of Lewis in Scotland all the way to Mexico to get stem cell treatment for her Multiple Sclerosis.
It explores Aileen Hunt’s life, her illness and working life and the effects that her MS has on her, her family and particularly her husband Simon. It shows their journey together to Mexico to get treatment which will hopefully halt the progression of this illness in it's current state.
Raising awareness of this disease and its treatment is a fundamental goal which was set to achieve with this documentary.

Born in the Highlands of Scotland, as a youngster Calum began making videos as a hobby. His love of television and films made him study an HND course, Creative Industries: TV at North East Scotland College in Aberdeen. This allowed him to learn and refine the many skills required in the industry and to specialise in Camera and Editing through work on various projects.
He then graduated with a BA (Hons) in Television at Edinburgh Napier University. During his studies he worked with others on Short Films, Music Videos, Documentaries and many more.
In 2016 when as D.O.P he helped produce an award-winning short film called "Sam" when working at the BFI Film Academy in Aberdeen. One of his proudest moments was when “Sam” won the "Best Live Action, 13-19 years" Film at the Scottish Youth Film Festival.
Since an early age he has loved to create stories - from badly drawn comics, to short films. Now, he has the abilities to tell stories through video content. Black Thistle Media is the Internet presence for Calum, who is currently based in Edinburgh. He is a Director of Photography and has the skills to operate in the roles of Producer, Editor, Runner and Director.
"I have gathered an interest in finding and documenting fascinating stories involving ordinary people, doing extraordinary things and video is one of the best ways to share this"
