Ethan Gomez-Zahnley is an award-winning filmmaker with experience helming several short and feature projects across both narrative and documentary formats, his work screening in theaters across the country. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Ethan seeks to tell nonconventional stories as well as capture truth and heart through experimentation. A graduate of USC's film production program, Ethan brings creativity and passion to every project.

Director Statement

When I was first approached with the script for Mouth Trap, I was instantly hooked. Beneath its campy horror surface, I saw something deeply truthful—an opportunity to push the material to its limits to expose the raw emotion underneath. With Mouth Trap, I wanted to explore an unforgiving form of masculinity rarely seen on film, and the impact it has on those around it.
