Director Statement

"Mahtab" is a short film portraits the love anxiety in a traditional society that doesn't understand the happiness of the human soul. Brutal restrictions are designed to protect the tradition. Nevertheless, the wheat field is the shelter for lovers just like the tree is for the birds. The wheat field in this film represents the respect for nature and the most precious human emotions that are being tarnished by combine harvesters.
