Director Statement

Madame Amérique was born from a personal moment of fear...the realization that I had created the very circumstances that made me feel unsafe. I wanted to explore the quiet dread of becoming trapped in a world of your own making. Inspired by Gone Girl and Whiplash, I aimed for a calm, controlled tone beneath which emotion storms. Violet’s journey is one of introspection, isolation, and illusion. This is a film about how easily desire distorts, and how quickly someone can disappear without ever leaving the room.
