Director Biography - Tokio OOHARA, Gertjan Zuilhof

Tokio OOHARA is an autodidact filmmaker with an interest in woman’s social stories. Tokio belongs to this fine minority in cinema of directors who also act in their own films. Her short film Bird woman (2022) was nominated in competition at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival.

Gertjan ZUILHOF was a programmer of International Film Festival Rotterdam for 25 years. During the Corona lock downs, he started writing scripts. He has been drawing since he was a boy. He still draws like a boy, but he likes his boy drawings.
