Lucy The Lion

Gutsy single mom Lucy has a job interview that can change her life. But after waking up to another one of her daughter Sophie’s bed wetting disasters, she must navigate how to balance work and motherhood, all in a cramped motel room. Lucy rushes to beat the clock, only to discover that Michael can’t daddy-sit – again.

Arriving late and with Sophie in tow, Lucy does her best to impress the interviewer, Adam with her work achievements but he's too busy trying to wrap things up, forcing her to take bold action.

Lucy the Lion is a complex social drama examining the challenges of gender imbalance in a changing political landscape.

Writer Biography - Natalin Avci

Natalin Avci is a Turkish-Armenian Screenwriter | Actor | Producer born and raised in Los Angeles. Gaining an International Business and Economics background from Cal State LA, member of UCLA Writers' Program, and a Meisner trained actor from the Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Studio.

Natalin’s first project, Lucy the Lion won Best Script | Film at Best Shorts Competition for bringing awareness to issues impacting society today. Lucy the Lion is currently on The Red List for Coverfly and has placed in numerous competitions: PAGE Awards, Filmatic - Inroads Fellowship Season 6, Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, Big Apple Film Festival and Screenplay Competition, Writers X Writers, Outstanding Screenplays Shorts Competition, So Cal Screenplay Competition. Lucy the Lion has evolved into a highly-anticipated short film, already selected by several festivals and awaiting its world premiere.

Natalin has honed her voice as a writer, telling timely stories centered around unconventional leading women. Her work sheds light on current socio-political issues like women’s equality with a style that’s cinematic and edgy.
