Lucky's Gun was an important story, and film that I had been planning to create for many years.

The idea of the concept of the characters and the story came along whilst I was writing down other ideas and listening to conversations in my household which lead me to creating the characters I wanted, based on the certain words and tones through-out the conversations I was listening to. This film is incredibly important to me because I want to make people react shockingly to my characters, and the story I have created, and to be able to make it into a conversation starter even if they are confused, plus feeling different emotions whilst watching it.

Lucky's Gun is initially about drug abuse and how it traumatises the people that you love the most around you with the vivid amount of chaoses. The story was also very close to home as the characters are a symbol of my own story and trauma based on the topic of drugs, love and chaos.

I wanted to create this film with a ton of emotion that related to me, as well as the characters because I felt that currently the topic of drug abuse and how it can cause trauma to those around you gets forgotten within mental health help; because it's something that if others are doing it around you, you cannot control them or how you react to it.

Going into inspiration, Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino were huge inspirations for my story and how it visually comes across to many audiences. As the film was created with a very low budget within a short amount of time of two weeks that went into being two months, it was very risky but having already gained techniques from my idols and what I have learnt to become my favourite techniques. This film was definitely worth all the risks for the sake of bringing emotion to screen and telling a story that makes people confused, yet very interested.
