Ekaete Bailey is the Founder of Butterfly Chief Films LLC, an independent, mobile film studio with a mission to share stories that are not often told from perspectives that are not often seen. A producer, writer, poet, director, and actor, Ekaete seeks ways to restore, revive and cultivate hope through the medium of film.
Active in social justice efforts and non-profit work, Ekaete served for three years on the Board of Directors for International Child Advancement, an organization that supports orphanages and youth centers around the world.
When she is not thinking about life and the important stories people have to tell - she is walking, laughing, reading, listening, hanging with loved ones or day dreaming about her next creative project.
Above all her professional endeavors. Ekaete is most proud of her personal accomplishments including being a wife, a mother of two amazing kids and an adopter of a beloved rescue dog named Roxi
This is my second short film, a nod to a nostalgic time and a celebration of the courage of children.
