Director Biography - Roni Zorina

Roni Zorina, born in 1989 in Tartu/ Estonia, studied directing in Hamburg/ Germany at the University of Applied Sciences in Mittweida. She also has been acting & producing since 2015.

Her first feature as producer LOTTE was shown @BERLINALE, Perspektive, 2016 and won a lot of many other int. FF prices.

Her first short as director LOVE, YOUR SURVIVOR won the BEST FILM award @European Filmfestival Göttingen, 2021. This short is based on a true story & is dedicated to her drug addict brother, who is living on the streets till now.

MИRA, without dialogue, is her second short about coming of age girl who is trying to act like her unknown mother for the little sister, to impress her father.
GIOLINA ARDENTE, her leading role won an international short film award as BEST ACTRESS @GUKIFF (Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival), 2021
