Lovecraft In Florida: DeLand and the Barlow House
Master of horror H.P. Lovecraft was poor during his life but he managed to travel as often as he could. One of his preferred destinations was Florida where he spent weeks at the DeLand home of his friend Robert H. Barlow during the summers of 1934 and 1935.
In 2025, filmmaker Mike T. Lyddon headed east across Florida to give us a very rare look at the fabled Barlow property, its history, and meaning to H.P. Lovecraft.

I believe that "Lovecraft In Florida" is the first documentary to show the famed Barlow house and property in DeLand, Florida as it is today. Lovecraft made two trips there a few years before his death and Robert Barlow became a pivotal figure in the preservation of Lovecraft's letters and manuscripts after he died.
