Student, first time filmmaker
As a student and first-time filmmaker, this is my student project. The concept initially came from my co-director Sonniyaa Gupta and these are her thoughts.
"As a woman, the themes explored in 'Love my Zindagi' resonate deeply with me. Throughout my life, I have witnessed countless women being stifled by the weight of familial and societal expectations, their voices drowned out by the pressures to conform. This film is a testament to the struggles faced by women who dare to challenge the status quo, who refuse to be confined by the limitations imposed upon them.
At its core, 'Love my Zindagi' is a celebration of self-discovery and resilience. It delves into the journey of Nikki, a woman who defies convention to embrace her truth and discover the unyielding strength within herself. Through Nikki's story, we aim to shed light on the importance of women standing up for themselves, believing in their own worth, and making choices that align with their own desires and aspirations.
In a world where women are often encouraged to follow paths dictated by others, 'Love my Zindagi' serves as a reminder of the power that lies in self-determination. It is a call to action for women everywhere to reclaim their autonomy., to love themselves fiercely, and to forge their own paths with courage and conviction.
Personally, through this film, we hope to spark conversations, challenge norms, and inspire audiences to embrace the fullness of their own lives. 'Love my Zindagi' is more than just a cinematic experience – it is a rallying cry for empowerment, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a celebration of the boundless potential within each and every one of us."
I delve on subject matters that mean something and as a filmmaker, I want to try to bring out those stories to the world and start a conversation.
It's my attempt only to set this as reminder to those who have fallen between the cracks...life gives you many chances.
