Director Statement

I made the film Love Is Blind because the story captures the unpredictable, awkward, and hilarious moments of dating—where first impressions can be both crucial and misleading. Attraction can crumble in an instant, often because we judge too quickly.

Though comedic, this story is rooted in real experiences. We’ve all faced bizarre, unexpected moments in dating—I know I have. But beyond the laughs, it’s about something deeper: love’s undeniable pull, no matter how imperfect or unexpected.

As a filmmaker, I aim to tell authentic stories that reflect the humor, resilience, and depth of women and people of color. Storytelling has the power to entertain, connect, and inspire reflection. Whether through comedy or drama, I want my work to serve as a mirror—helping audiences see themselves, embrace life’s unpredictability, and find strength in adversity.
