Director Biography - Ava Dee, James Burkhalter

Ava Dee is a "tween"-age girl, born and raised in Maryland. Her hobbies include drawing, cosmetology, cheerleading, playing video games, and learning TikTok dances.

Her collaborator/uncle, James Abrib Burkhalter, currently resides in Baltimore, earning his MFA at MICA, with primary interests in Queer narratives and Afrofuturism. His previous credits include a feature-length poetic documentary entitled "There Will Be GLiTTER," as well as several shorts including "Kween For A Day," "Your Inbox Is Full," and "Uomo dei Boschi."
