Los Versos De La Ausencia.

ESPAÑOL: Un caballero en armadura recorre un mundo fantástico pero no todo es lo que parece.
ENGLISH: A knight in armor travels through a fantastic world but not all is as it seems.
ESPAÑOL: Durante la pandemia de COVID 19 muchísimas personas fueron internadas con urgencia en los hospitales para luego fallecer súbitamente. Este cortometraje es una metáfora dedicada a niños, mujeres y hombres que perdieron a un ser querido pero no pudieron despedirse, haciendo aún mas difícil la fase de duelo psicológico. Espero que esta breve obra cinematográfica ayude a estas personas en su proceso de sanación emocional, tal como me ayudo a mi por perder a mi padre, a mi tía y a mi primo.
Además, casi no hay obras del género fantástico en México y América Latina, así que seleccionar este cortometraje aportará diversidad temática a tu festival y le permitirá distinguirse de otros.
El efecto de SANDSTORM que se utiliza se realizó con INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL usando la opción RELLENO GENERATIVO de Photoshop, aplicándolo un fotograma a la vez, así que la mayoría de los diez mil fotogramas que se utilizaron para su realización fue retocado uno por uno con IA... ¡fue una locura pero nos gusto el resultado!
ENGLISH: During the COVID 19 pandemic, many people were urgently admitted to hospitals only to die suddenly. This short film is a metaphor dedicated to children, women and men who lost a loved one but could not say goodbye, making the psychological mourning phase even more difficult. I hope this short cinematographic work will help these people in their emotional healing process, just as it helped me for losing my father, my aunt and my cousin.
The SANDSTORM effect used was made with ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE using Photoshop's GENERATIVE FILL option, applying it one frame at a time, so most of the ten thousand frames that were used to make it were retouched one by one with AI. .. it was crazy but we liked the result!

Director Biography - Assur Hussein Avendaño Pastrana

Spanish: Ingeniero en Sistemas Computacionales y titulado de la Maestría en Tecnologías de la Información. Egresa en 2017 de la Escuela de Cine de Morelos y a partir de allí funda su empresa Light And Dreams Machine, productora de films, series de tv, cortometrajes y comerciales. Ha sido director de doce cortometrajes: AMOR, AMAR Y CAFÉ, JUSTICIA PARA LOS RICOS-VENGANZA PARA LOS POBRES, JOJUTLA LA LAND, TÚ TAMBIÉN PUEDES SER UN HÉROE, EN BICICLETA A LA LUNA, EL DIABLO ESTÁ LLORANDO, LA OFRENDA, ZOMBITLAN, RENAISSANCE, EL REPULSIVO CUADRO SIN TÍTULO, LOS VERSOS DE LA AUSENCIA y el capítulo web: LA BRUJA DE LOS COLORES INFINITOS. Todos ellos estrenados en cines.

Es ganador de siete premios internacionales:
1. Mejor Serie Web World Film Singapore con la Bruja de Los Colores Infinitos.
2. Mejor Serie Web en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Medellín FestMedallo con la Bruja de Los Colores Infinitos.
3. Mejor Serie Web en el Tagore International Film Festival con la Bruja de Los Colores Infinitos.
4. 1er lugar Festival Internacional de Cine Joven Juna Kino Categoría Nacional Juvenil Ficción con Zombitlan.
5. Mejor Cortometraje de Terror Best of Istanbul Film Festival con Zombitlan.
6. Mejor Actriz en el Europe Film Festival con Zombitlan.
7. Segundo Lugar Festival Internacional de Cine y Movilidad con Tú También Puedes Serun Héroe.
Ha sido selección oficial en 120 festivales de cine alrededor del mundo, entre ellos el Broodway International Film Festival, Best of Latinamerica Film Festival, Paris Film Festival, Tlanchana Film Festival, Festival de Cine de San Luis Potosí, FICMA, Oaxaca FilmFest, Smartfilms y Muestra Audiovisual Xalisco.
También ha colaborado con VFX en cortometrajes y películas como DEATHCEMBER, que han sido selección oficial de festivales como SITGES, FERATUM y JUNA KINO.
Actualmente escribe EL OCEANO DEL CIELO, su opera prima de fantasía que sería el primer largometraje animado del mundo hecho por inteligencia artificial.

ESPAÑOL: Durante la pandemia de COVID 19 muchísimas personas fueron internadas con urgencia en los hospitales para luego fallecer súbitamente. Este cortometraje es una metáfora dedicada a niños, mujeres y hombres que perdieron a un ser querido pero no pudieron despedirse, haciendo aún mas difícil la fase de duelo psicológico. Espero que esta breve obra cinematográfica ayude a estas personas en su proceso de sanación emocional, tal como me ayudo a mi por perder a mi padre, a mi tía y a mi primo.
