Look the other way
'Look the Other Way' investigates how people respond emotionally when faced with the stark realities of homelessness.
Geoff Kearns knows those realities all too well and was keen to get involved in the project. Teaming up with filmmaker Simon Waller, Geoff helped construct the VR experience used in the film as well as volunteering at the two installation days, where participants were asked to 'swap places’ with a homeless person for a few brief moments and then feedback on how it felt.
Homeless people often say they feel isolated and cut off from society, but by donating to a London based charity called The Passage you can help reconnect them with people, places and opportunities to thrive.
‘Look the Other Way’ challenges people to consider their response to homelessness and offers them a way to make a difference.
