Ryan’s journey begins in Cleveland Ohio where he first stumbled into the theater. Almost immediately he was mesmerized by the power of live performance. After earning his BFA, he took the show on the road to Los Angeles where he began to utilize his theater education into the film and television world. Most recently he portrayed the character of “Uncle Clive” in Andrew Dominik’s “Blonde” with Ana de Armas. His Directorial debut is a culmination of years of stage and set experience.
From childhood, I have always been a fan of rock ‘n’ roll music. I still prefer it over music that’s made today. “LODESTAR” was an opportunity to take a walk in the shoes that the greats like Robert Plant and Mick Jagger once wore.
As an actor of both stage and film I understand the language and how to articulate to my fellow actors what is needed in certain moments and how to get there authentically, which I believe we successfully did.
There is no doubt in my mind that filmmaking is always a collaborative effort. I think listening is just as important as directing. I am so grateful for everyone involved in giving this project life.
