Malo is a French filmmaker with a global perspective, having lived in various parts of the world. Currently a senior at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, he specializes in film studies. Malo's artistic focus lies in creating experimental and drama films, pushing the boundaries of conventional storytelling.

Director Statement

At a young age the director of Listen moved to the United States and was instantly met with the stressors of being in a new and unfamiliar environment; English was nothing more than an unfinished jigsaw puzzle or a collection of meaningless noise.
In this film the director experiments with strobes, sound frequencies, and utilizes research on the human psyche to best simulate the experience of being overwhelmed.
