Director Biography - Brittany Alexia Young

Graduated from Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts and often known for her motor of a mouth, Brittany also finds herself letting the camera speak for itself when telling stories. Though almost always speaking in sarcastic run-ons and punchlines, she loves to put pieces of herself in her films, songs, and poetry.

Director Statement

Liquid Courage is a film that made me love filmmaking and storytelling in the way I did as a kid. It’s the kind of fun and charming film that I grew up on that has the ability to make us laugh, cry, and hopefully, heal. In the process of begging people to extra, donate, and become someone different than themselves came so much fun, food, and togetherness. We’re all constantly coming of age at different moments of our lives and I think the stories you can write and create in that genre are endless. There’s a loneliness inside of the chaos of this film and I hope and believe the audience can really see themselves in the characters as they navigate the trial of growing up and fitting in.
