I am a self-made and independent filmmaker from Hannover, Germany. After moving to Tromsø, Northern Norway in 1990 I devoted my live to Arctic Nature by environmental research and outdoor live. Inspired by the expressional possibilities of time-lapse photography I launched the “An Arctic Fairy Tale” project in 2014, an about 40 minutes long time-lapse animated nature film visualizing one “Arctic Light-Year”. Inspirated by the overwhelming positive response on my opening film I continued exploring time-lapse photography for nature film production. At present, more than twenty of my time-lapse animated films has screened at acknowledged international film festivals.
My overall motivation as a filmmaker is to experience, document and share some of the exceptional beauty of Arctic Nature.
