Monjur Kibriya Bhuiyan is an independent filmmaker, scriptwriter, video editor, and media educator. At present, he is working as a Lecturer in Mass Communication and Journalism at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Before joining BUP, he worked as a lecturer at Brac University and Green University of Bangladesh-two leading private universities in Bangladesh. His research interests include Screen Studies, AI and Media, Streaming Media, Media Convergence, Transmedia Storytelling, Media Management, Visual Communication, and Advertising. Additionally, he worked as a programme researcher and scriptwriter for Bongo, one of the top streaming platforms in Bangladesh. His short film, Life, Corona, and Some Pigeons (2022), was screened at prestigious festivals in Bangladesh.
