Director Statement

Growing up in Lebanon and seeing all the discrimination around me has affected me, deeply. They used to say that Beirut was the pearl of the Middle East but all I have seen from this capital shows the opposite.
To express what I feel after I came back from France, I decided to start making documentaries. The first one was Gayrouth. It tells the story of two gay men living a double life. Libertad Beirut talks about liberty, identity in relation with the chaos... Above all we are all human.
