I was born in Puerto Rico over five decades ago. Raised in a family of eight, with a middle-class status was an interesting experience. We didn't have a lot, but what we didn't have, we made up by educating ourselves well - in music, history, law, psychology, world economics and politics. We were also very fortunate, we had our mom and dad all the way through our old age.
If there is something to take away from my past experiences is that life is short, but one can make it what one wants to at any time during that short period one has on this world, and share the goods with all that wish to experience the goods, and even bad, too. Now that I am 50, I reckon, there is no turning back and there is still a lot more to come. Thus, engage and carry forward.
Love knows no boundaries, when it is given with humility and respect. This, I've learned, has been in my heart all of my life.
