For several years I have been recording conversations with taxi drivers in the city of Buenos Aires. Some of his sayings build an eclectic speech that shows a part of the Argentines’s idiosyncrasy, more specifically from Buenos Aires.

Director Biography - Lucía Harari

Lucia Harari, Buenos Aires, 1982 is a visual artist who explores through painting and video art. She studied at UNA and did the Specialization in Conceptual Design at the University of Tres de Febrero, where he currently teaches Contemporary Art. She was selected for the film program N/n, New narratives for the development of documentaries thanks to the Training grant from the National Fundation for the Arts. She also studied with Valeria Gonzalez, current Secretary of Heritage, Diana Aisenberg, Eduardo Stupia and Sergio Bazán.

Receives Mecenazgo 2021, and subsidies from Asylum Arts for the creation of the video trilogy Sueños, la saga; and support for creators of the J. P. Morgan Bank and the Metropolitan Fundation.

In 2021, she obtained an honorable mention at Bahía Blanca Photo and Moving Image Festival for the short film Hablemos del Clima, she was selected at the Bienal Sur 2021 with the short film Verdes y Amarillos de Bajo Riesgo, Colada Magazine selected the Horizonte video to be screened at Camera en Mano show; she participate with Las Flores de mi País in an exhibition curated by Renata Zas; in 2020 he obtained a special mention at the BIT Biennial / UADE Award for the video Alerta: Habilitan Calma, and in awards such as Andreani 2021, Desafío Latinoamericano Index Award 2021, the 107 National Visual Arts Hall 2018, Bancor 2017, Banco Nacional Hall Nation 2010 and 2016, Félix de Amador 2014, Gente de mi Ciudad 2013, Williams Foundation 2016 and 2012, Banco Provincia 2013, UADE Award 2020, 2010, 2013 and 2012.

In 2017, she participated in the Asylum Residence in Mexico City for Latin American Jewish artists, where the idea of the documentary Lejos de Damasco was born. In 2015 he studied the Contemporary Artistic Practices program where she developed the video No como Superman, in 2013 he carried out the Articultors Residency in Labordeboy in Santa Fe province in which she produced Creía, his first video.

Among her main individual exhibitions are: Afectivo Estacional at Granada Gallery 2019; Studio apartment at Nora Fisch Presents 2018; Walking is not falling in OEI Cultural Space (Organization of Ibero-American States) 2016.
Main collective exhibitions in: House of the Province of Buenos Aires, Gral Sarmiento National University, Historical Council of Córdoba, National University of Córdoba, and in galleries and spaces such as: Pólvora, Nora Fisch, Pasaje 17, Quadro, La Fresh (Madrid) , Cecilia Caballero, Appetite, Mite.
