Lethera

Lethera is a psychological drama that deals with loneliness and the conflict of consciousness. The film deals with the inner struggle of a woman who talks to a man she created in her own mind, trying to hold on to his existence but also having to distance herself from him. While the cellar symbolizes the character's mental prison, the man is a concrete reflection of the woman's inner reckoning. While the woman wants to protect her own light, she is forced to confront this illusion that turns into darkness.

Director Biography - Mustafa TURAY

Born in Mardin in 1991, he graduated from Pamukkale University with a degree in Foreign Trade, Anadolu University with a degree in Public Administration, and Istanbul University with a degree in Radio, Television, and Cinema. His poetry collections, ‘’Gök Gürültülü Sağanak Yaşam’’ (Thunderous Downpour Life) in 2020, ‘’Yelkovan Durağı’’ (Hour Hand Stop) in 2022, and ‘’Aheron’’ in 2025, were published. ‘’Yelkovan Durağı’’ was published in Brazil in 2025 with a Portuguese translation, and ‘’Aheron’’ with a Kurdish translation in 2025. He has also published over a hundred poems, essays, and film reviews in more than twenty magazines, and continues to do so. In 2023, he directed the short film ‘’Coraline'in Rüyası’’ (Coraline's Dream), and in 2025, he wrote and directed the short film ‘’Lethera’’. He is a member of the Turkish Writers Union, the Turkish Association of Authors and Literary Works Owners, the Diyarbakır Writers and Poets Association, and the Short Film Directors Association. He lives and works as a civil servant in Diyarbakır.
