Julian LeBlanc is a triple threat. He is the CEO of LeBlanc School of Acting, a resident “actorepreneur,” and a highly sought-after youth acting coach. Born and raised in Moncton, NB, Julian discovered his calling of the dramatic arts at the age of thirteen when he realized he loved the art of storytelling and dance. Upon graduation from the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, BC, Julian found success in a number of television, short film, and independent film roles including beloved Hallmark films, "Haunting Hour: The Series," "Hellcats," "Kyle XY," "Supernatural," and "Wayward Pines.” Julian established the LeBlanc School of Acting in 2015 with the intention of creating an environment where youth actors could find themselves, sharpen their skills, and grow confidence. Under his expert instruction and unmatched skill level, LeBlanc School of Acting has quickly become a leader in the youth acting circuit. When casting directors see Julian’s name attached to an actor’s resume, they know what to expect. Julian emboldens his students through proven techniques and authenticity with a versatile background in the dramatic arts and an encouraging and supportive larger-than-life personality. He is passionate about providing every actor with a fair opportunity and empowering them with vibrant energy. When Julian isn’t helping young actors hone their skills, he is producing and developing film/TV projects with his own production company and has produced numerous award-winning shorts including “Once Upon a Time”, “Call Button”, etc.

Navigating life’s tumultuous highs and lows of mental health is something we know all too well about. When we first came together to develop the concept for “Leo”, the world was in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when anxiety levels soared, and the creative community faced unprecedented challenges. Traditional outlets for emotional expression were suddenly inaccessible, leaving many struggling in isolation - and in this isolation many of us literally found ourselves spiralling as things that once brought us comfort no longer easily did.
Mental health still remains something that many of us confront privately. The stigma of opening up about these struggles and the fear of burdening others often keeps us silent.
The story follows Leo Walker as he prepares for what should be the most exciting night of his life—prom night. But as one mishap after another unfolds, he finds himself spiraling into a debilitating panic attack. Overwhelmed, Leo contemplates giving up altogether. Through Leo’s journey, we aim to illustrate how swiftly anxiety can take hold, yet also demonstrate how quickly recovery is possible. The film highlights the transformative power of connection and compassion, showing that even small gestures of understanding and holding space for others can make a difference.
Our hope is that our film not only brings a smile to the audience’s faces with it's quirky relatability, but also offer a reassuring message: whatever challenges you’re facing, no matter what kind of day you’re having… sometimes life will suck. It just will. It's inevitable. But... it’s going to be okay (even if your favourite shoes get ruined, your parents won't stop pestering you, and your hair just won't sit right… haha). Which is a reminder that we all may need sometimes no matter if we are 17, 37 or 97.
