Director Biography - João Vítor Guimarães

João Guimarães directed the short film Mais uma Dona Maria at age of 18, a film that earned him distinctions at the São Paulo International Festival and Brazilian Film Series, in Chicago. At the same time he graduated from the Instituto Criar, and his student work's, 1954 and What Did She Say? were also raised to the big screen (and a censorship on the first).

In his succinct career, he has created comedy, science fiction, drama, suspense, terror, advertising films, documentaries and internet content. He has the motto that "To make films you have to make films", because he understands that audiovisual occurs when toil becomes art.
