Aljoša Toplak (1996) is a Slovenian writer and philosopher, known for his short prose.
"This is my first short film, so I've chosen to adapt a short story that I've written years ago for a writing contest. It's a story that I wrote in utter frustration, because I realized midway through that not only am I not being original, but that I'm writing a story that has been already written by the american author Raymond Carver. This led the protagonist of my story to question the goal of art - is it to bring original artistic value to the world or is it to bring value to the artist?"
