Lauren McCann is an award-winning actor, a 11-time marathon runner, mother of 2 with a PhD in education and now she has found a new love...filmmaking.

Lauren is a filmmaker and screenplay writer who has jumped on this train and is not looking back. During this years SeriesFest, Lauren was named "The Voice to Watch." The story of Girl Boxer played in her mind for over a year. Soon after her son was born, she sat down to write and in but a few hours, a first draft of the proof of concept was created.

During the height of COVID Lauren wrote the Girl Boxer feature script and her next pilot Ms. Pink, between homeschooling and potty training her youngest.

Lauren has a natural ability to bring people together on set and pull the best out of every actor and crew member. As a performer in her own right, she understands the actor's process and trusts in their craft and choices.
