Last Angeles
Sergio lives between a little Italian medieval village and L.A. He dreams the Green card and dreams to come back to California. Between hope and desperation, he remember eight friends who realized the dream and made it in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. He knows that life is an illusion of red carpets, that in Hollywood and L.A., the dream factory, everyone struts and frets his hour upon the stage. But he knows that without illusions there's no hope, there's no life.

Carlo Grande is an Italian writer, director, screenplayer and journalist for the third Italian newspaper, La Stampa (Turin).
He writes about culture, books and wildlife, with reportage from Asia, Africa, U.S.A. and Europe. His novels are published by Ponte alle Grazie, GeMS Group, by Luigi Spagnol, the same publisher in Italy as J.K. Rowling, Suskind and Wilbur Smith.
"The Way of the Wolves" (six editions between 2002 and 2009, about 25 thousands copies) is the real and epic story of a rebellion that took place in the Alps between Italy and France, in the 1300s, in the same period and in the same mountains of Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose". This dense, successfull and tenderly strong novel, just like "The Count of Montecristo", contains great characters and great feelings, and three enthralling elements: betrayed innocence, a lenghty revenge, the "treasure" of untamed pristine Nature populated by bears and wolves, cradle and guardian of humanity's values and last refuge for an indomitable nobleman who after countless battles and imprisonments took refuge in the forest. There, for ten years, he lived like a wolf.
The screenplay is available in English, wrote with Fredo Valla, screenwriter of the Italian multi-awarded movie "Il vento fa il suo giro", member of David's Donatello Jury: we can say "Jeremiah Johnson" meets "Braveheart".
“La cavalcata selvaggia” (2004, 2007 and 2009) is the epic story of Italian POWs (WWII prisoners of war), captured by the English army and brought to the foot of the Panjab Himalayas, where they climbed terrible mountains: the summits of 7000 meters, close to the prison, were unsurpassable bastions, but also were those peaks of snow to give men back their freedom. From a film point of view: "Cool Hand Luke" meets "The Bridge on the River Kwai".
New projects (two novels just finished)
- "Un Tiziano rosso sangue", thriller about a Tiziano's portrait disappeared in a medieval italian city.
- "Kung Fu Girl", the story of a Chinese girl who arrives in a Western Country and must fight against some bullies at school (her idol is Bruce Lee that frequently appears and talks to her, giving her advice) and must fight against her father, after falling in love with an italian.
Adler & Associates Entertainment distributes the film "Last Angeles", based on italian people who lives in L.A. and got success in Hollywood, like Giacomo Ghiazza, who draws storyboard for Ang Lee and for "Pirates of the Caribbean" or Gigi Meroni, musician who won one Emmy Award for Scooby-Doo music.
"Last Angeles" is a totally indie film, a guerrilla film, it's like a blues, cooked and eaten, shot in a few days between Los Angeles and Italy, with very few money. Is a tribute to a friend, Sergio, to show ideas and feelings, more than aesthetic form
