Las Jacarandas salen en marzo
“Jacarandas come out in March”is an experimental film that portrays the experience of a female artist in Mexico City in relation to the symbol of jacaranda flowers. These symbols of beauty, which create a superficial passage in Mexico City, become a political and social symbol in the feminist movement, triggering a series of unforgivable events in a society where the constant is a flower that fades into oblivion.

Bachelor of Visual Arts and fashion designer by training. The study in these areas has led me to discover the world of art direction and find in it a possibility to relate my knowledge to generate atmospheres and work on investigative concepts in commercial areas in a critical and collective way.
During the last years I have participated in artistic residencies in Mexico and collective exhibitions in Colombia, Mexico and El Salvador. The residences have allowed me to explore and inquire about social problems in each context and thus build a broader vision of my own reality.
My production is based on explorations of the social, pedagogy in the field of the expanded and the society-consumption relationship. I am interested in collective work and visual studies with the possibilities that this field offers to develop inter-epistemic and creative dialogues. I have developed my practice in different techniques since I find it enriching to navigate from traditional media (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc) to the use of technological media (audiovisual, sound experimentation, performance, etc).
