Laman
A deserted bus stop at the city outskirts. A woman dressed in white approaches it waiting on a ride. She is patient and knows where she is going. She waits. A local van picks her up. She is calm and enjoys the scenery on the bus ride. The images of the places forgotten. The transformation from the rugged city life to a greener pasture. Even though she made this journey many times before, every single time she does it she is absorbed by it. Completely aware that it will bring her something new. A new insight, a new joy, a new end, a new beginning.

David van Delden is a Curaçaoan tech entrepreneur and co-founder of Ngrane, an award-winning digital agency for design and technology. He has over 15 years of experience as a Creative Director, working with small and Fortune 500 companies such as PepsiCo, Emirates, Dutch Ministry, Nike, and Yamaha to explore digital opportunities and build communities that help people thrive. Over the last 5 years, David grew a passion for crafting films in Papiamentu. His vision is to create a vibrant collective of local artists, combined with cutting-edge filmmaking techniques; all united to produce Papiamentu films that captivate and resonate on the global stage.
Juan-Carlos Goilo seamlessly transitions between roles as an anthropologist, writer, and theater maker. Within the dynamic landscape of Amsterdam's creative scene, he primarily identifies himself as a cultural architect, sculpting immersive experiences that push the boundaries of innovation. He participated, wrote and directed multiple theater pieces, some of which were award winning. He is also currently writing his debut novel. The last few years he has been collaborating with the creative director of the digital agency Ngrane, David van Delden, to make Papiamentu-language films. Laman is their second short film as they aim to make a feature film in the near future.
