The Poet
“The Poet" focuses on the vicissitudes and adventures of a talented poet after the collapse of communism in Albania, who in front of economic difficulties, due to the new facing realities, discovers another way to survive by making poetry of condolences and poetic death announcements.

Atina Laco was born in 1990 in Tirana, Albania, as the daughter of a Human Rights Activist and a TV Producer. After graduating from high school in Tirana she traveled to Germany to study European studies and Philosophy, as well as Media & Communication, at the Karlsruher Institut fuer Technologie. During the years of study she engaged in minor independent video and music productions.After her studies she worked at "Callies & Schewe Kommunikation" - a marketing agency in Mannheim till early 2016. In April 2016 she was an assistant director for Ylljet Alicka's short film "Plastic Flowers". In September of the same year, Atina established in Tirana her own film production company "Teo Film". In December 2017 she had her directorial debut for the short film "The Poet", based on a short story by Ylljet Alicka.
Currently, she is working as a Digital Visibility Manager for EuropeHouse, part of the EU Delegation in Albania.
